Erin Mendoza, PsyD
Erin Mendoza is a licensed clinical psychologist in New York and New Jersey. Erin is director of Belay Psychological Services in Red Bank, NJ, where she specializes in mindfulness-based psychotherapies for treatment of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and adjustment/transition concerns. In addition to her diverse experiences as a licensed psychologist, Erin has been a mindfulness meditation practitioner for ten years. She is currently enrolled in the UC San Diego Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute, where she has provisional teaching status and works closely with world-renowned mindfulness teachers, en route to full qualification as an MBSR teacher.
Joshua R. Cohen, PhD
Josh Cohen is a licensed psychologist specializing in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology. Much of Josh’s clinical experience has included helping patients in hospital settings, including the JFK Center for Brain Injuries and Children’s Specialized Hospital. He was first introduced to mindfulness while working at JFK in 2008 where mindfulness based interventions were being offered to patients with brain injuries. Since then he has become a practitioner of mindfulness meditation. Aside from his involvement at Two Rivers, Josh has a private practice specializing in providing evaluations and psychotherapy to a wide range of people, including those with acquired brain injuries and neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as psychological challenges such as anxiety and depression. He incorporates mindfulness based interventions into his work with patients.
